How Our Manhole Covers Are Made
Each cover is compression-moulded on hydraulic presses, then finished, checked and packed before dispatch.
What Is an FRP Manhole Cover?
FRP (fibre reinforced plastic) manhole covers are moulded from glass fibre and resin under heat and pressure.
They do the same job as cast iron or concrete covers, safely closing chambers for drainage, water, electrical and telecom lines, but they are much lighter, never rust and have no scrap value, so they are rarely stolen.
Our white 5-ton covers are made for pedestrian and light-duty areas. For driveways and places where cars or trucks pass, heavy-duty grey covers are available on request.
