FRP grating (Fibre Reinforced Plastic grating), also called GRP grating, is an open-mesh flooring panel made from high-strength E-glass fibre reinforcement encapsulated in a thermosetting resin matrix.
The result is a one-piece composite panel that can carry substantial loads while resisting rust and corrosion. Because the resin encapsulates the glass reinforcement, FRP grating offers good resistance to moisture and many chemicals, depending on the resin system selected — conditions that typically shorten the life of mild steel and galvanised grating.
